Photos: 5,000+ Vancouver Climate Action participants
Filed Under: city living, environment, event, vancouver on October 25, 2009
It rained yesterday. Forecast says it’s going to rain some more tomorrow.
But today, Vancouver’s weather was sunny and warm. Nature participated in Vancouver’s effort to join in our world’s call to our leaders for immediate climate action.
Organizers estimated 4,000… no, 5,000 … and even over 6,000 people!
It doesn’t matter what the actual count of people who joined the 2km walk from the Cambie street bridge to Science World.
There were a lot of people! As the first folks arrived at Science World, there were still people leaving the bridge, and snaking a parade route over.
So many families – young, old and everyone in between.
Here are some photos:

Thanks for your kind comments everyone. The energy was amazing… everyone made new friends that day. Reminds me of the Peace walks we had in the early 1980’s.
what a wonderful collection of photos. Thank you for sharing!
